02.23.09

This was a horrible photo shoot (and that's saying something, considering my others!). The best picture I got of my outfit had my daughter in the background in her underwear. So, you get this.

This dress was MIA for awhile, but I found it this weekend while cleaning. Thank God, because I missed it terribly! Also, I have no idea what this pose is. But you know you like it.

My necklace picture came out blurry, but I'm showing you anyway. This was also MIA for many months. My daughter found it in her room. Oy vey!

Also, I need new tights.

02.19.09

Another boring outfit, another shot with a sneaky kitty!

I like that cardigan a lot. It's pretty lightweight and the sleeves are awesome and bell-like, and it's all crochet-y which you obviously can't tell from my photos!

I also love these shoes.

02.18.09

I was pretty pleased with this outfit.

My mom gave me a whole bag full of vintage slips when I visited over Christmas. The majority of them were either ruined beyond repair or not my size, but I was able to salvage a couple. One in particular is black and it's kind of fuller at the bottom, like a petticoat, but not as fluffy and full. Maybe that's what it is?

I had this insane idea to wear it under my black dress that I love. So, I did.

The animals kept inturrupting my photo shoot. They are both so nervous about all the packing. I can't imagine what they are going to think of the 1200 mile car ride!

Cardigan: Nordstrom
Slip/Petticoat?: Vintage
Pumps: I don't know, and I already packed them!

02.17.09

I've been pretty bad at blogging lately, mostly because I'm so busy with this chore of PACKING AND MOVING.  OMG, it's a nightmare. But I'm doing it!

I had some great commentary I was going to post for this outfit too, but I forgot it. Since that was last week.

Obviously there's a lot going on behind me in this pic. And obviously I didn't get any more.

01.06.09 Le Sigh

So, today pretty much sucked and I don't really want to talk about it.

I also hate taking pictures in the mirror.

11.05.08

For those that wanted to know where my top came from in the last post, I believe it was from the Wal Mart sales rack approximately 5.6 years ago. So there.

Erin has this dress, too. I didn't realize until I put it on that I'd seen it somewhere before, and it was on her.  It was on sale for like, $17, so I bought it. It didn't fit when I first bought it (before Christmas) but it fits now! Yay!

My pictures are so crappy you can't see any detail on the dress. Here's a closeup, but go look at Erin's pictures.

I wore these textured tights with my black boots. I felt kind of funky, but I felt cute too, so there.

The tights were footless! Shh!

12.08.08 Lame

I am still figuring out the settings on my camera and the self timer and what not, so today's pictures are crap. I planned on taking the pictures somewhere else other than my bedroom, but that didnt't happen. The heater man was on his way to service my heater, so I was in kind of a hurry. And I also uploaded my pictures backwards.

I cut off my feet and all photos were blurry. Oh well!

Someone told me today that I don't wear blue very often, but that I should more. So maybe I will wear more blue.

Pinstriped, wideleg trousers: Merona
Cardigan: Dunno, I think I got it at TJ Maxx?

12.03.08 Purple 2

First, my new camera arrived today!

Second, I can't use it yet because they sent alkaline batteries instead of lithium! Alkaline won't work! But I have lithium batteries on the way, so I guess it's all good.

My camera was dead all day and I didn't want to wait around for it to charge up, so I took these while it was plugged in. That's why they are so crappy. Oh wait, they are crappy every day. Good thing I got a new camera (that I can't use yet!)! Anyway, you've seen this dress before. Twice.

I was trying to show you the shrug here since you can't really see it,but you still can't really see it. It's brown, which made my daughter very happy. The green one upset her because it didn't match my boots.

Out of the three pairs of earrings I got from LoveErinDesigns, these are my least favorite. Which is FUNNY because they were my first pick!  They are a little heavier than the others, but not too heavy.  And sometimes the leaf pokes me. I was also a little annoyed because of the way one of the clasps kept rotating down, but then I realized that one of the beads was stuck, and then when I got home, I saw it was broken so I popped it off. I think that might make them stop doing the funky rotating thing, but we shall see!

I've decided to start telling you where my clothes come from. Since that's the point, and all.

It's a good thing my pants were really, really long today. I love these socks, but they simply don't go!

11.25.08 Boring!

This might be the third time this sweater has made an appearance on my blog so far. Let's just say I wasn't feeling like doing anything special today.

Hahaha!

11.24.08 Uniform

Black, black, black, black, blue, black black black black, purple, black, black, black, black, red... If you haven't noticed already, I have a uniform. Not an official one. But it consists of black pants, black cardigan, black shoes, and rotate shirts. I have multiple pairs of black pants, four or five pairs of black shoes, and two black cardigans. I wear these things OUT.

I like this shirt. It's soft and fuzzy.

And, PUFFY SLEEVES.

I haven't worn these in awhile.

I look crazy happy here, which is weird considering how not crazy happy I am right now. Oh well!

11.19.08 Unflattering

I obviously didn't realize how unflattering this outfit was on me until the moment I snapped this picture, thus my mouth hanging open.

This sweater is from target, probably the tank too, and so are the pants. They have a tweed look to them, and they are very heavy.

I was able to brave a different pair of shoes today. My ankle survived.

I've been wearing these earrings for multiple days now. I do that sometimes. I just don't want to bother for awhile, so I pop in some studs and leave them.

This is me, being SO OVER not having a camera. And with a giant zit on my chin.

11.17.08 Conflicted Update

Some of you may have noticed that I freaked out earlier today over my outfit. It started before I left the house. See, last night I took the scissors to some things because I wanted to wear my brown boots. And I seriously have nothing to go with my brown boots.

My initial thought was to remove the inner top of a dress (which functioned as a shelf bra, or for me, a boobie smasher) and just let the criss-cross fabric in front do it's job. That worked out nicely, and it looked good, but the dress it's too long to be worn with these boots, and I didn't really feel up to hemming a dress (this is the second one in line. I need a sewing machine!).

I pulled out the purple sweater dress and chopped the neck off. There's no seam or anything, so I just like, CUT IT. I know you are saying "she is crazy" and "what a weirdo" because I just chopped the neck off my dress all haphazardly like that. But it's NOT haphazardly, it's straight as I could have cut it, and I LIKE it now, so shut up.

Then I had this top from Target that I've been fantisizing for a long time about cutting up. I dont know why, but I decided that it would make a perfect shrug. The sleeves are long like I like them, and I could make it the length that I wanted. But I just sliced this off too. No sewing or anything, just cutting! WTF AM I THINKING?!?! But I like it. It was a great top for it too because it's that inside out looking type with the rolly seams and everything, so you can just whack it off and the edges roll up and voila!

I just now realized that I covered up the cut I made with the arms! HAHAHAHAHA! You can't see the cut I made in this picture! Damn! I didn't intend for that either, I was just trying to get the sleeves up in the shot. I'm always in such a rush when I take photos at home because everyone (dog, cat, daughter) is crying for food or attention or something. I'll get you a picture of how I cut it. I promise it's not all crooked or anything.

The dress without the cut up clothing. Oh wait, it IS cut up clothing.

Boots. Payless, last year.

Are you judging me now? I hope not. Because I'm very HAPPY. Even though I did freak out a little bit.

I think I was mainly freaked out over the color combination, followed by wearing boots with a short dress, followed by the alterations that I made. But I'm over it now that the day is over.

I need those earrings that I have yet to pay for to go with this outfit. This Friday, honest!!

This is what I'm wearing tonight. My daughter considers this "naked". And probably inappropriate for posting on my blog, but whatever.

11.12.08 Uncomfortable

This morning when I got dressed, I had decided my blog was going to say something about "exciting and new" because, even though nothing I'm wearing is new, it's stuff I don't usually wear. And today I remembered why. So, "uncomfortable" is today's theme, or something.

Here is my coat. I thought I would show it to you since I wore it today. It wasn't that cold,  but I wanted to wear my coat.

This is what I wore. First, I hate these pants because they are too tight. They also have pockets that make my hips look wider than they are. They are tight on my thighs and around my waist, which makes my poor button peircing hurt real bad. AND I WORE THEM. What was I thinking?

I kind of hate this cardi and never know how to wear it. It looks stupid unbuttoned, so I have to wear it buttoned. It's short (ok, it's waist length) and I hate that. It has 3/4 length sleeves and I kind of hate that too. The last time I wore this cardi was when my friend Steve came to town. I wore a red tank under it that time, too. Just a different one.

This is the top I decided to wear under the cardi today. I like it, but I'm kind of fat right now, so I can't really wear it. Unless I cover it up completely, like today.

Angel wings.

Home, relaxing in my paint stained lounge pants.

Mah shirt.
