11.15.08 The Erin

I tried The Erin today. It was a little lop-sided, and maybe a little too pompy, but I liked it enough to go out in public like that. I'll try again another day.

The top.

My crooked bump.

11.12.08 Uncomfortable

This morning when I got dressed, I had decided my blog was going to say something about "exciting and new" because, even though nothing I'm wearing is new, it's stuff I don't usually wear. And today I remembered why. So, "uncomfortable" is today's theme, or something.

Here is my coat. I thought I would show it to you since I wore it today. It wasn't that cold,  but I wanted to wear my coat.

This is what I wore. First, I hate these pants because they are too tight. They also have pockets that make my hips look wider than they are. They are tight on my thighs and around my waist, which makes my poor button peircing hurt real bad. AND I WORE THEM. What was I thinking?

I kind of hate this cardi and never know how to wear it. It looks stupid unbuttoned, so I have to wear it buttoned. It's short (ok, it's waist length) and I hate that. It has 3/4 length sleeves and I kind of hate that too. The last time I wore this cardi was when my friend Steve came to town. I wore a red tank under it that time, too. Just a different one.

This is the top I decided to wear under the cardi today. I like it, but I'm kind of fat right now, so I can't really wear it. Unless I cover it up completely, like today.

Angel wings.

Home, relaxing in my paint stained lounge pants.

Day 3 - Purple Hell

A lady at work said to me today, "You look like you got a boyfriend." She's a Spanish lady who's pretty sarcastic and funny, and it was more like, "What's up wit choo?! You got a boyfriend now or somethin'?!" I asked her what she meant, and she said I was doing my hair and wearing makeup. Um, gee, thanks, I do that EVERY DAY. And the funny part was, I was wearing ZERO makeup today, except for the eyes.

Point being, I think that being concerned about how I look for you guys is manifesting in real life as... something. I'm trying to present something to the world, and it's showing, or something. Because I look like I have a boyfriend.

ANYWAY!

Last night I bought a new dress and pair of shoes at Wal Mart. (I like Wal Mart clothes, OK?!) $15 each, so $30 for the outfit. It's probably missing a pair of tights or something, but 1. It was way too hot today for a sweater dress AND tights, 2. I fear fashion "risks", and consider things like brooches, boots and tights "risks" (yes, yesterday's boots. I've had them for a year, yet I feel anxious when I wear them because they are not "normal" for me - I know, I'm weird.), and 3. I only have black tights anyway.

It's a deep purple, but you can't really tell, because my camera set up sucks. It's a turtleneck with leetle puffy sleeves. I HATE TURTLENECKS. But I like this dress.

It's a sweater dress. I wore a slip with it, though, because since it's from Wal Mart, it's pretty thin fabric. I did sweat, though, and I HATE sweating.

I found these shoes that match. They are the adorablest. Mr. Cuddles decided to attack the camera cord right as I was taking the picture. I decided to keep it, just because.

A close up of the shoe, complete with cat hair! I don't expect these to last long, but they sure are cute.

Johnny and Mr. Cuddles defending turf in the middle of my photo shoot!

My angel wing earrings. I almost lost one of these at that neat theatre in Austin when I was visiting Cindee and Erin and Laurie and Jen. Remember that?

A ring that I bought for myself from the Target jewelry case. It was $99. There was a matching necklace and earrings, but they were each $99 and I couldn't afford them. Of course they were gone whenever I finally could.

Sweaty in the bathroom!

For Erin.
