A lady at work said to me today, "You look like you got a boyfriend." She's a Spanish lady who's pretty sarcastic and funny, and it was more like, "What's up wit choo?! You got a boyfriend now or somethin'?!" I asked her what she meant, and she said I was doing my hair and wearing makeup. Um, gee, thanks, I do that EVERY DAY. And the funny part was, I was wearing ZERO makeup today, except for the eyes.
Point being, I think that being concerned about how I look for you guys is manifesting in real life as... something. I'm trying to present something to the world, and it's showing, or something. Because I look like I have a boyfriend.
ANYWAY!
Last night I bought a new dress and pair of shoes at Wal Mart. (I like Wal Mart clothes, OK?!) $15 each, so $30 for the outfit. It's probably missing a pair of tights or something, but 1. It was way too hot today for a sweater dress AND tights, 2. I fear fashion "risks", and consider things like brooches, boots and tights "risks" (yes, yesterday's boots. I've had them for a year, yet I feel anxious when I wear them because they are not "normal" for me - I know, I'm weird.), and 3. I only have black tights anyway.

It's a deep purple, but you can't really tell, because my camera set up sucks. It's a turtleneck with leetle puffy sleeves. I HATE TURTLENECKS. But I like this dress.
It's a sweater dress. I wore a slip with it, though, because since it's from Wal Mart, it's pretty thin fabric. I did sweat, though, and I HATE sweating.
I found these shoes that match. They are the adorablest. Mr. Cuddles decided to attack the camera cord right as I was taking the picture. I decided to keep it, just because.

A close up of the shoe, complete with cat hair! I don't expect these to last long, but they sure are cute.
Johnny and Mr. Cuddles defending turf in the middle of my photo shoot!
My angel wing earrings. I almost lost one of these at that neat theatre in Austin when I was visiting Cindee and Erin and Laurie and Jen. Remember that?
A ring that I bought for myself from the Target jewelry case. It was $99. There was a matching necklace and earrings, but they were each $99 and I couldn't afford them. Of course they were gone whenever I finally could.
Sweaty in the bathroom!
For Erin.
